1. Intellectual property and ownership
The original GPS Camera website design, interface, page layouts, written content, source code, branding and custom visual assets are owned by GPS Camera or used with permission from their respective owners. Copyright does not extend to third-party materials, open-source software or content owned by users and other rights holders.
You may use the GPS Map Camera and Geo Tagging Tool for their intended purpose. You may not copy, republish, sell, clone or distribute protected parts of the website or present our branding, interface or original content as your own without written permission.
2. Reporting copyright infringement
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe material hosted or controlled by GPS Camera infringes a copyright that you own or are authorised to represent, send a notice through our Contact Us page.
A valid notice should include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the copyrighted work;
- the exact URL or enough information to locate the disputed material;
- your name, address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and
- a statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for the owner.
We will review a complete notice and may remove or disable access to material when appropriate. Normal use of our browser-based photo tools does not publish a user's private photo on the GPS Camera website, so a complaint must identify material that is actually hosted or controlled by us.
3. False notices and Section 512(f)
Copyright complaints must be truthful and made in good faith. Under Section 512(f) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, a person who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation that content is infringing, or that removed content was removed by mistake, may be responsible for resulting damages, costs and attorneys' fees.
Before submitting a notice, consider whether the use is authorised by the owner, a licence or the law. GPS Camera may reject incomplete notices, request additional information or respond through the remedies available under applicable law.
4. Counter-notification
If material you provided was removed because of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. It should include your signature, identification and previous location of the removed material, your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake, and the jurisdiction and service-of-process statements required by the DMCA.
5. Policy updates
